Am I a candidate? Probably there is a list of criteria that we look at when evaluating a potential laser vision correction candidate.
How much is it and does my insurance cover it? I typically tell patients to expect about $1500 to $2000 per eye. Some insurances do help some and others offer small discounts at certain refractive correction centers. CareCredit will also help get you the correction you need.
How long does it last? It is permanent, but the eye may change or there may be a degree of regression which it why it is always worth it to get the warranty and keep it current. Some patients need to have an “enhancement”. We always inform our patients that around or after the age of forty they will need assistance with reading.
Who do you recommend? This is an important question because this is where experience plays an important factor. We work with a few teams of laser vision correction specialists to get the best results for our patients.
